  • I am extremely disappointed and upset with the TSA in this airport. They clearly do not know how to handle a large morning rush. My boyfriend and I were running a little behind and made it to the airport exactly 40 minutes before our flight was to take off. I would normally arrive much earlier to accommodate delays but I'll admit that the early morning flight got the better of me. Upon entering the airport we were greeted with every travelers worst nightmare..... A TSA line that looked like it went on for days. It had stretched far beyond the beginning of the staring area and went nearly half way across the airport. Once we were in line I started to get that sense of panic that usually happens to most late travelers. After 10 minutes of waiting and seeing almost no difference one of the TSA agents comes around looking for our boarding pass. When I explained our situation he seemed totally uninterested but I persisted in asking if we could possibly go through the premiere TSA line that looked like a scooby doo ghost town. He said no just like that and moved on. Not one to let an unmotivated employee deter me I left my boyfriend in line and went to the United counter right next to us. When I explained that situation and asked them if they could upgrade us or asked if they could persuade the rude TSA agent to help us she told me there was nothing she could do unless I wanted to pay an extra 40 dollars a ticket to go through the premiere line. I couldn't believe I was being extorted by this woman. When I persisted in asking if here was another way she made a motion that if she were to help me she would have to help everybody. I responded "of course you should help everybody that needs it!" In the end we ran for our flight and only made it do to a family four that was having trouble boarding with their children. I've never been so happy to see young kids on a plane before. I am just so angry that a system that is supposed to protect its passengers is nothing more than an extortionist ring.
