  • Since moving here 5 years ago, I've been with the same hairstylist from my very first haircut here in Charlotte. She's now happily married and moved away to Miami, so stoked for her!!! My narcissistic hair... it has a different feeling on the topic. So my search for a new stylist began. After a less than favorable haircut experience at Shear Excellence (more on that in my other post), I made an appointment with, Jade at Caliber Men's Grooming. What an amazingly major difference in quality cut, treatment and overall vibe of the salon!!! This is a great quality salon that is inviting and calm with stylists that are focused on you and a quality experience. Not a turn and burn, cutting your hair like everyone else's as quickly as possible. I Caliber offers a beverage of your choice when you arrive, alcoholic if you prefer, and online scheduling for time and stylist if you have a preference. Since it was my first time and had no clue who to choose, I randomly chose Jade. At the time of my haircut, she was 2 weeks new to Charlotte, but has been cutting hair for years. Great personality and cuts my somewhat difficult curly hair as if she's been doing it for ages. I chose the 'basic' treatment. Basic includes, quality cut, wash and condition, scalp and shoulder massage and an awesome conversation. There was another service tier that I didn't opt for that bordered on some ridiculous level of pampering that I may try on my next visit. If you are looking for a place with quality cuts and people, you would be doing yourself a huge service by making an appointment with Caliber and scheduling time with Jade or one of the other fantastic stylist!!!
