  • *Update: minutes after writing this review I received a response from the owner. You can see her response below. I messaged her immediately and still have not heard anything back from anyone at Banfield. I got my English Mastiff when she was 12 weeks old (she is now 4 yearsold). I immediately sought out a vet for her and ended up choosing Banfield & their wellness plan. Overall I have been satisfied with the level of service that I have received through Banfield. However last Friday I took Bella in for her comprehensive exam which is included in her Wellness Plan and includes teeth cleaning. She also received her heartworm prevention injection. Starting Saturday she had diarrhea. We decided to give it a couple of days to see if it was just left over from anesthesia side effects. Wednesday we called Banfield and they said we could bring her in Thursday morning. I take her in and I'm seen by 2 vet techs who talk to me for a few minutes and then go to "ask the vet a question". They come back and say these are the tests that they that recommends we run. I asked questions to which the vet techs gave very unconfident answers & looked like at me like I just asked them to solve a difficult algebraic equation, clueless. So on my own I learn that one is for a fecal exam to test for parasites (But she just had this test done less than a week ago). Then they said that they wanted to test for another parasite which I have since found out comes from dirty water usually infested by rodents. Since I know very well she has not been anywhere new or drinking dirty water I think that these two tests are not an appropriate route to go. I asked to speak with the vet and they told me that she would call me when she had the chance. So I dropped Bella off at 8:45 in the morning I waited till 11 something with no call back. I spoke to another couple vets that agreed with me that those tests were not the route that they would go either. With no call back and feeling frustrated I called Banfield to say that I was coming to pick Bella up. No question as to why and when I got there I even asked for the number to call to cancel my Wellness Plan. Again no questions as to why I wanted to cancel or why I was picking her up. I really feel like they were trying to take advantage of me at the expense of my pet. I'm finding that others are having the same dilemma. I've heard horror stories about trying to cancel the wellness plan maybe I'll be back with an update with that. Steer clear!
