| - Worst hotel experience in my entire life....period.
We arrive at the hotel around 10:30 pm, I had a reservation for a king non-smoking room, I'm also a Landry's Club member.
The front desk clerk who was SUPPOSEDLY helping me (Celeste if a remember her name correctly) was so robotic and unprofessional (borderline rude), never once looked at me or greeted me, always looking over my shoulder across the reception area, smiling in a flirtatious manner.
I told her her that I would like to have my king non-smoking room in a quiet area, preferably top floor away from the elevator.
She doesn't even acknowledge what I've said and proceed to tell me that I'm booked for a double twin bed smoking room.
When I reply that's I've booked and paid for a king non-smoking room, she states that's all they have.
I request to see a manager, she picks up the phone and start having a flirtatious conversation for a couple of minutes with someone.
Then, she hangs up and ask me so you wanna see a manager because you booked a king non-smoking room and you're being placed in a twin smoking room? Yes, I replied.
She goes to the back comes back with an assistant manager, who was really nice and professional.
Said, all he can do for the time being is to put me in a a twin nonsmoking room (which is shitty by the way), then next day they'll move me to the room I reserved.
Right now it's 11:00, I'm in the room they gave me waiting for their call which should be between now and noon.
Will see, I'll update this review as things unfold.
Forgot to mentions room is so dated, falling a part distasteful and cheesy, no coffee maker so you're forced to buy coffee from the lobby, no fridge if you want one you have to pay extra $30/day, TV is ancient no HD service.
As I mentioned earlier it's the worst hotel experience I've ever had and I've had plenty of them worldwide, some of which were in third world countries that will beat the GN anytime hands down.
