  • If you looking for a home warranty company please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. My hot water heater recently went out. It was a four year old hot water heater. They sent out a tech, then I was charged $60.00. To be told I had a bad element and he could not remove it because it had leaked and it was rusted in there. The only option given was replacement of fairly new hot water heater, $1500.00 was the quote the plumber gave me. The warranty company said it was not covered due to rust and corrosion. A WATER heater not covered due to rust and corrosion!?!?!?! I told the plumber that was an insane price and called the home warranty company where I plead my case. They wouldn't budge. They did offer to send me $100.00 for what they would pay to replace the element. I told them fine I would take the money but they could be sure that I would let everyone know how they do business, I was told if I did that they could not send me the money. My stubborn self told them to keep their money then. So this review cost me $100.. the plumber later called me back and told me my hot water heater was now magically covered under the manufacturer warranty, it would only be $600.00 to replace! I obviously told him not to call me again. I contacted the manufacturer and had my hot water heater replaced at the cost of the labor to do it.
