I just popped in to this store to pick up some last minute items for dinner. I don't normally shop here but it was on my way home. I grabbed grapes, pork chops, and mushrooms. I was on the phone with my husband while I was in self-checkout. I scanned the first item and heard the "beep" and placed the grapes in the bagging area.
I hear a sharp yell: "Ma'am! Those grapes didn't scan!"
I'm off the phone at this point and look at her to see a scowl on her face. She marches over. I tell her I heard the register beep when it scanned. She says with an unnecessary attitude: "These never scan." She asks me if it's some random number SKU. These are all interesting questions considering I don't work here.
She punches the number in and I finish my transaction. She gives me a look that I can only describe as "smug" and "satisfied" like she stopped the great grape smuggle of 2017.
Here's a thought. If Glazier's spent more time educating their employees on customer service instead of treating their customers like criminals- maybe they would be doing better.
