  • ONE WORD: AIR CONDITION! Although I am just now getting started with Life Storage for our storage needs, I looked at a lot of facilities in Las Vegas before locating this particular Life Storage. The bottom line was that most storage facilities in Las Vegas are traditional swamp cooler cooled. If you walk into one of these facilities, it most likely will have wood walls (to keep cooler) and has the almost damp quality to these dry hot spaces. Depending on what you are storing, this might be fine. If you are storing anything that might be damaged because of temperature, this would be a game changer and non-starter for your storage needs. This particular Life Storage is unique in that is a large, three story structure that is air conditioned. So when you go inside, the inside units are maybe kept somewhere between 78 and 80 in the summer. If you go to other facilities and then go here, you will notice the temperature difference. So with that, Life Storage on Wigwam had me because they are air conditioned. Stacie, Melissa and Alan were all most helpful to me in arranging my unit reservations. You can hold on and reserve a unit for up to five days I think before you have to pull the trigger or walk away. They will also put your name on a waitlist if need be for certain sizes too. This place seems very booked though, so make do your homework in advance. The units are cement floors, partial cement and particle metal walls. The facility seems safe, super clean and did I mention, air conditioned (I am not worried about cold in winter, but heat in summer could be bad for storage). They have easy on-line options for payment and keeping track of your unit too.
