| - Dr. Thompson was a GREAT dentist! His staff on the other hand is awful. If I could give this office zero stars I would. We started seeing them in 2006. Both my husband and I had some work done, we set up payment plans and paid off the work done. We proceeded to have our regular check ups in the mean time without any issues. Fast forward to 2016 when I went in for a check up, had some fillings done and a cleaning. I paid my estimated portion (for 3 of 7 fillings) of appx. $220. I had my cleaning a month later and that was the end of it. No other appointments or cleanings were made by me AT ALL because I didn't know what my work schedule was going to look like at the time. Out of the blue, we get a letter from the dentist saying that because they have made multiple attempts to reach us for some debt totaling $280 and for missed appointments, they are dropping us. #1-we owed this dentist ZERO dollars (and if we did, don't you think that should have been brought up, say, AT AN APPOINTMENT THAT WE WERE AT?!?!?). #2-not a SINGLE appointment was made after my cleaning BY ME. #3-when we speak to Debbie, she of course is rude and condescending and doesn't want to tell us anything about what this money owed is and just says "we wrote it off". So why on EARTH would you mail someone a letter for a "debt" that is over 10 years old? Who cares that you wrote it off, you're mailing someone a letter that has false accusations in it. When we asked Debbie about what # they called to "try and collect this debt" they said they called several #'s on file. Guess what-you didn't. We checked cell phone records and our landline records and we have ZERO phone calls from you; missed, answered or otherwise. It's no wonder they have "had so much turnover in the last 5 months with their staff" (this came straight from Debbie's mouth!!!!) Your office staff churn clearly shows that your record keeping is lacking because you are sending LONG TIME patients a letter full of lies and your system (or those operating the system) is making appointments without patients knowing. When we tried to question the validity of the letter we were put on long holds, Debbie didn't have really any answers for us as to how this debt was accumulated from 10 years ago and she proceeded to tell us that "this really doesn't matter." It does because YOU SENT US THIS LETTER! Everything I am writing is true, and can be verified through credit card/debit card statements, the letter that the office sent and our phone records to prove they have not called us. The office staff here is an absolute joke and I hope that those reading this take into consideration how poor their office management seems to be.
