  • DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! VERY IMPORTANT TO READ THIS REVIEW! Hubby and I checked in Tuesday ( just turned midnight) and got a killer deal on a super-suite on the 28th floor- much appreciation to Lydia at the registration counter. 1 star. So much for the killer deal, we entered a beautiful but filthy room. Had it been cleaned before we arrived, I might have just called it a beautiful room. No star. The compliment only goes for the size of the rooms and some what of a view we've received. We're facing the Palms and the Wyndham hotels. There was some sort of sticky substance plastered on the floors, so we called room service and received the upmost worst service possible. Because it was so late, we only asked for the carpets to be vacuumed, the bathroom floors to be mopped and the counter tops to be cleaned, or dusted off at the very least. The room service lady was ethnic and had a strong, either, African or Jamaican accent, so can't blame her if she didn't understand what it was exactly that we were asking but what threw me off was her attitude and customer service. I assure you, I work in customer service so when I have it towards me, I try to make it as easy as possible because some customers are just horrid. I, for one, am not horrid. I tried speaking with her and intended to make her job easier by simply telling her what it was that we wanted cleaned with no stuttering, though I did have to repeat myself several times, I just didn't want to give her a hard time. Yet, she made it very clear that she did NOT want to stay and clean. Rather, she was desperate to leave. -I feel a bit offended because I was going out of my way to be so polite- She vacuumed the floors for us but told us that the specific area we had called room service for in the first place must be shampooed, it cannot be vacuumed. OK. Then get a shampooing person up here please!? It looked like someone either threw up a bit on the floor or came on it. Ugh. Tried to get her name but couldn't, will probably get it later. Aside from the bed being made, clean floors are the least that could have been done without having to be asked to be done. Room service?: DEFINITELY NO STAR. Checked out the mini bar- pretty much empty, are they going to charge US for the missing items? NO STAR! Mini fridge is just as empty as when we first arrived, on top of that!!!!: while gambling in the masquerade casino, we were falsely accused of stealing a $20 scarf from a boutique called "Landeau"- great way to garnish more money from your guests Rio! Forced to either pay the $20 or a $500 fee.. I wish it were possible to take ALL stars off! We've had it! Upon checking out because of such a horrid ONE NIGHT stay!!!! We asked security to escort us out and called upon a bellhop. Security was a sweet young woman who in less than 10 minutes turned into a disgusting rude BITCH! I never call ANYBODY a bitch, but SHE was a Bitch - capital B! - After about 7-10 minutes of waiting for us to pack up, she said, and I quote: "you guys need to hurry up, security is here because this is an eviction"... EXCUSE ME!? We ASKED for security in case our room key did not work because we just checked out at registration after the bullshit we experienced in the casino, being accused of stealing. So don't you rush us after we paid a ton of money for a room and thousands of dollars on gambling! The bellhop is another story, oh MAN! We asked him to wait a moment while we got the last of our things.. His response: "well I need it to be quick because I've got other things to do" OTHER THINGS TO DO!? Uh???? So you are telling me... That other things are more important than helping guests???? I have never! been so insulted and disrespected by a hotels customer service, especially a shitty one at that! Warning: as cheap as it is, save your money and plan a BETTER Vegas trip staying at a different location, Rio is a huge FUCK NO. Yelp needs to start allowing no star ratings, this is definitely one of those business that do no deserve not even one star.
