I met a friend here because I've been trying to find a place in the Yonge/Davisville area with great coffee, along the lines of De Mello Palheta or Sense Appeal. While the coffee at Rachel's isn't quite that good, it's definitely in the same ballpark -- it's obvious that they use freshly roasted, good quality beans. The milk in the latte could have been steamed better: the foam was a little loose. But again, so much better than Starbucks/Second Cup that it's like a different drink.
The service is good -- they bring your order to your table. I had a breakfast sandwich which was fine, and there was a nice selection of treats.
I'm not sure how amenable they are to people sticking around for a couple of hours to work. There's wifi, but it's password protected and I didn't see any signs with the password.
