| - I will never bring my dogs to this facility again. I literally left this place in tears and sick to my stomach over the way they treated my dog and I. My dogs are like my children and I would never feel comfortable having these people look after them. I have a German Shepard who can bark a lot and be protective of me around large groups of people. When making my appointment, I specifically mentioned this. The woman at the front desk almost laughed it off saying that they are a boarding facility, and it is their job to deal with pets, even the occasionally difficult one. When the day came to drop him off, there were people all over the lobby which to a dog can be intimidating. He obviously barked a lot and all the staff members were scared of him. The girl that they had come for him didn't look a day over 13 and clearly was not able to control a 100lb Shepard. As I stood in the lobby, trying to make my dog feel more comfortable, additional staff began coming out, almost surrounding us. No joke, 15+ staff members behind the desk just staring at my dog and I. Did they even think about how that would make a dog feel? The answer is terrified and defensive. After a few minutes, who I assume was a manager because she was one of the only adults behind the desk, told me that they could not take my dog, that they only take friendly dogs. It is clear that their staff have little to no training on the proper handling of a dog. I can only imagine that their average customer is no different being as I posted the same review on Facebook and immediately began being harassed by several customers. The actions of Pet Paradise are very unsettling. No need for management to reach out to me, there is nothing they could say that would change my experience. It is disappointing to see so many negative reviews in the "not recommended" section of Yelp for this business. Businesses can pay for you to only see their positive reviews. I wish I would have done more research on this place prior to putting myself and my pooch through such a traumatizing experience.
