9/10 | I don't often go downtown for Chinese food since it's always so busy, but I saw that it was cart service in Chinatown and my friend and I wanted to eat fast before getting a train. Service was quick and efficient this morning (10:45am) and it wasn't too busy. There was a medium sized variety coming out but it was all the good stuff like pork buns and egg tarts and beef ribs. For morning service midweek, there was at least 15 different options being rolled around including congee, chicken feet, dumplings (shrimp and other), beef balls, tofu etc. - so not too shabby. Food tasted pretty okay too (y).
It was a great time to go since we finished in 35 minutes including paying for the bill.*
I switched between Cantonese and English, and staff weren't giving us worse service because of it. This is *really* important to me as I usually bring non-Asian friends and sometimes traditional places can be quite rude. Brownie points for them!

DIm Sum King is just upstairs in the plaza it's in, and it is close to 2 Green P's nearby if you're driving and really easy to get to on the Spadina streetcars.
*In dim sum places it usually takes 1 hour min. to get through everything from my experiences so WOW.
