I was one of two guys tagging along with a bachelorette group and we were unsure of joining the girls for this... it was actually really fun!
As long as your group is ready and willing to give the effort, you'll enjoy the class.
Most of the reviews here are for bachelorette parties, but I bet a bunch of straight guys in the room for a stag party would actually have a lot of fun with it.
Rates were good for a one-time workshop and the time really flew by between learning our pole routine and then a short chair dance. I would've rather learned a second pole routine or had us perform for each other rather than doing the chair dance. Both were fun though, and challenging! I have a new respect for pole dancers. Ha.
Our instructor was great, and in unbelievable shape for being almost 40 -- go girl! She struck a good balance between being encouraging and nitpicking technique. I would have actually preferred more technical notes rather than the very friendly "Let's do it again!" repetition but I know I wasn't the target audience; the bride was. I could also tell that it was a 'stock' routine they use for all Beginning classes rather than something tailored to our group, but that's fine -- how could you adapt for every possible person walking into the room?
Worth the money and surprisingly fun, even as a guy. Definitely something different to work into your Vegas trip! I'd kill to see a room full of bachelor party guys taking the same class... you KNOW some of them would get REALLY into it!
