| - I've read through the reviews and I feel about the same as most people: I have a love-hate relationship with Ikea, but it's mostly love. I love the prices, the choices, the freedom, the products, and the great exercise you get roaming the building (and you will get exercise in this giant building!). The downside is finding someone to help you if needed, and their replies are often unintelligible or unhelpful. Some of the staff are very young and don't know all their products or how they work.
Putting that aside, I shopped with my daughter today who is furnishing a college apartment and we purchased some plates, bowls. broiling pan, ice cube trays, colander, bath mat, two small lamps, cutting board, cooking utensils, and clock all for a grand total of $90. I thought that was fantastic! Ikea is a place for wonderful bargains and if you have the patience to hunt for them, you will be rewarded.
