  • Finally a new independent bookstore in Las Vegas...and it's Downtown. I was at the Grand Opening today. Mayor Goodman was there with other local dignitaries cutting the ribbon. Scott & Drew have done a great job creating a small, intimate, book store which offers more than just books. They will have a space in the back where they will be offering writing classes, host book signings, and other activities. Besides books, they also "adopt" artificial birds.. Set up in niches, each area has a different book focus. I'm looking forward to further development of this part of Fremont Street East. There is a lot of community support for small business in the area, so let's hope that this is another cornerstone for downtown to rally around. I'll definitely be back when I'm looking for a book to support the small business owner. Great job guys.
