  • The Delta Chelsea hotel is a nice business hotel, and is Canada's largest hotel with 1,590 rooms. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delta_Chelsea Delta's frequent hotel stay membership program (Delta Privilege) is free. Delta is famous chain in Canada, and has no affiliation with Delta Airlines (whose HQ in Atlanta). Delta Privilege (free membership rewards program): http://www.deltahotels.com/privilege It's a free program with many perks, so I highly encourage you to sign up. Delta Privilege benefits: http://www.deltahotels.com/en/privilege/member-benefits Benefits include 6pm late check outs, free wired (cable provided) LAN in-room Internet access (normally $13.95/day), free local and toll-free calls (1-800 / 1-888 / etc), and 500 frequent flyer miles / stay. You can earn airline miles with various carriers (not all though). They are officially aligned with the following frequent travler programs: Aeroplan Avis (car rental) Asia Miles Program Alaska Miles Although you can't select it on the Internet when booking, United Mileage Plus miles can be accrued if you tell them your account number in-person or over the phone. There is also free Wi-Fi in the lobby (no password key required), a pool & gym on the 27th floor that is free for hotel guests, also a bar on the 27th floor (wasn't open when I went to check it out at 11pm on a Tuesday night), restaurants and bars in the lobby, and I hear there's an indoor/outdoor water slide too. I like the hotel and am pretty much living here for a few weeks, possibly longer for a project that I am working on. The location is great, being in Downtown Yonge, near the TTC College station and in between Yonge Street and Bay Street. It is reasonable priced for the quality of the room. My rate is $139/night, which is good for 2 Doubles, 1 Queen, or 1 King bedrooms. Some of the current hotel promotions are: $25 off coupon that's available on the hotel's facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/DeltaChelsea http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150116709102167&set=pu.359023537166 I am not sure if you can only use this once, or multiple times. When you book, use rate code "FSR" to receive $25 off the Best Available Rate, now until 5/31/2011. You need to present a print out of the coupon upon check in. Free Fries at Monarch Pub for checking into Delta Chelsea on Facebook Places: After you check-in using your mobile phone on Facebook Places, show it to your server at Monarch Pub (in the lobby) to receive your free fries, along with your meal or drink(s). Snooze and Win Promotion: http://pages.deltahotels.com/snoozeandwin/ Stay three separate times (must have at least a one day gap in between), and receive a choice of a free Friday night stay, or 50% off any other day of the week for one day. The reward is redeemable any day from 6/1/2011 to 8/31/2011.
