  • Perhaps the best sushi we've ever had- rivaled only by one special dinner in NYC. An amazing experience of flavor, service and ambiance. The main restaurant has nice ambiance but a very "club" feel with loud music so we asked to sit out on the patio where we could hear each other talk. Giovanni was our server and he quickly suggested that given some "guidelines" he'd be happy to select our dishes - a surprise for each dish, and pushing us out of our standard "Philadelphia roll" boredom. We said yes, and were then treated over the next three hours to a set of masterpieces from Brussel sprout flakes to fluke quat to oh toro to tuna tartar and more, finishing with a flourish of zen smores for desert. Each dish was presented by Giovanni with nuanced descriptions and clear love of Japanese food. The flavor of each dish built in the one before, was multi-layered and delicate- we were laughing with amazement at how many ways by the end we had eaten truffles, for example. A masterful evening, and we plan to come again soon for sake tasting. Fantastic restaurant!
