  • We needed to move our daughter from Las Vegas to Phoenix. The original "ballpark" quote ($1930/533cu.ft.) seemed too low and we didn't want any surprises on moving day. We set up an appointment with Rami to come out and give us a binding quote ($2500/778cu.ft.)...hence no surprises. We also wanted door to door service the day after pick-up!! No waiting for days on end for her stuff to be delivered to Phoenix. Also...the truck was dedicated to us and no one else's things were mixed with ours. The three of us did the packing of her boxes so mainly the movers had to wrap up all the furniture, washing machine, and load everything securely into the truck, it took three guys about 4.5-5 hrs to do the job. We had to do some cleaning up in the house and hit the road about 4:00 PM. We met the movers the next morning around 10:30 AM (they drove from LV that morning!) and they unloaded the truck...took several hours. It was a bit of a difficult job because of the stairs at both houses and only a few walls got some dings in them. The movers that moved her out of her condo did far more damage..to walls and some of the wooden furniture. Nothing was broken or missing. All the guys were super nice, asked if they could use the restroom and worked their tails off! Moving is stressful no matter what and this move wasn't too bad. I would recommend AHM for this type of a move. I would recommend asking about paying the upfront deposit with a check (we did) and have cash for what you need to pay upon pick-up and on delivery plus tips for the guys. Credit cards are accepted but charged an additional fee because the business is charged the fee by the credit card company.
