  • Usually I say that personality is the most important, but this place might have turned me into a bun man! I just happened to pass this bakery on Spadina when a hunger pang struck, so I decided to go in and get some buns. I was only planning on buying one or two, but when I saw the sweet deal of 5 buns for only $2 I absolutely couldn't resist. Not only were these buns extremely well priced, but each one was as delightful as the last. They all tasted fresh and light. I had gobbled up four of them before I knew it. My first bite into the taro bun set the bar high. The exterior was well baked with good chew, and then the taro filling hit me with just the right amount of sweet. The next three buns (all vegetarian) matched the taro bun in flavour and texture. Some buns had lightly toasted sesame seeds on top giving a subtle but scrumptious taste. What a great snack. The taste is great and the price even better. Definitely stop by here if you're feeling a bit peckish and need to prevent a case of full blown hangryness.
