  • This is by far the best place to get coffee on the west side!! The first time I came in I definitely wanted to try something off of their breaking bad menu and the girl recommended the Flynn. Holy cow you guys... that drink is absolutely divine. It was so good in fact that when I picked up my boyfriend from work a half an hour later, I came back to Desert Wind so that he could get something too! I was really just that impressed. I've returned to this hidden gem (and by hidden I mean they're tucked away behind a gas station and you wouldn't know it unless you were REALLY looking) a handful of times now and can't stop getting the Flynn, man. I really want to try something new but am just blown away by this one drink!!! As far as the aesthetics, this place is what all coffee shops should feel like- homey, classy, relaxed, and beautiful. There's plenty of room for sitting although I wish they had more of an outdoor patio set up. Someday I WILL try something new and I really look forward to it. Also, as a side note they only have baked goods, nuts, and some other snack-like items. So, if you were hoping for a bagel or a sandwich maybe you won't find them here. Although, word on the street is the banana bread is homemade... so that makes up for it right?
