| - The mansion in itself is beautiful. This is solely why we booked our wedding here. Unfortunately, they do not have a wedding planner in charge of anything so it was a bit chaotic getting things done. Jody was amazing & tried so hard to accommodate but again, not her area of expertise. So many things went wrong the night of our wedding. Fruit & veggie platters we ordered to be put out at cocktail hour but got put out with dinner(definitely not what we spent an extra $150 on), paper towels being out in the bathroom for quite some time during our reception, the kids at our wedding getting yelled at for running around(I think they should say no children under 10) as Garry, the owner yelling at the kids all night was not something I had envisioned for my Wedding, it took them 2 months to get us a contract(like I said, we only booked because we loved the mansion so much), we ordered a stuffed mozzarella, bacon wrapped meatloaf & got nothing of the sort, just a plain meatloaf which yes, tasted great but was not what we ordered. We were told we got two dessert choices after dinner, only one of them made its way to our guests. I didn't get to decorate the venue until the morning of my wedding, my fault for booking somewhere that would book other events the night before a big event & make it so I had to decorate the morning of.
I think it's probably a great place for pool parties, bridal showers, etc but def not for weddings. I'm glad my guests had a great time, our dj, photographer & videographers helped make sure that happened but hearing abt all these things after the event really stinks. I wouldn't want any bride to experience all of this on their special day.
If you're good to come in & do nothing to the place & won't have any young kids at your wedding I'd say go ahead & book here!
