| - You do not get what you pay for here. You honestly pay about twice as much as the apartments are worth. This place makes it seem that this is Section 8 Housing.
They say they are a, "Dog Friendly," place. Not so much. There are no sidewalks leading to the dog parks just big rocks for them to have to painfully walk on. The dog parks are a joke. Little to no grass with rock beds separating what little patches of grass they have in the enclosed areas. It looks like no one picks up after their dog, ever. It's so gross we have had to find a different area to take our dogs since they don't feel comfortable running in the feces-covered dog parks. Too much time and effort for them, I guess.
The condition of our apartment was, and is, pathetic. There were nails sticking out of all of the trim on the carpet. And there are nails that are raising up beneath the linoleum, "Wood Flooring." It would have been an easy thing to avoid if they would have used the proper concrete nails versus just doing the easy thing and using the inch long nails they did. And the maintenance guy tried to tell me that he, "catches his toe on nails in his apartment all of the time." Riiiiiiiiiight.... A lazy liar. Great to know that's the type of person working on the apartments. And if he's not a liar, whey does he settle for nails sticking up out of his carpet??
The dishwasher leaks water when we run it to the point where we have to lay a towel down so the kitchen doesn't get flooded. Water-damaged trim next to it proves this has been a problem for a while.
Huge holes in the trim beneath the counters. The woodwork is truly pathetic. This entire place looks like it was rushed through in one day by one guy. The patio outside looks like they didn't want to go out in the hot sun and nail in some nails.
The bathrooms are terrible. Tubs were FILTHY and the tiling is coming undone with cracks everywhere. They don't even have a place for you to hang your hand towels. And the towel racks they do have are not level with the ground.
Be aware that you will need to invest in multiple lamps since there are no light fixtures in the living room or second bedroom. Not the biggest deal, but a light fixture would be nice. Again, must be too much time and effort since they are federally funded and what not.
You can see every place that the former residents hung their pictures on the wall. No effort to fill in the marks before they were painted over. They wall were dirty, to include a booger on it, and the ceilings have spots from wine, or whatever it is, all over the place. There are bugs in the bottom of every light fixture.
The sealant along the trim throughout the apartment, and also in the bathrooms, would be laughable if everything else wasn't so poor as well. The crew they have working on these apartments would be robbing them blind if they weren't saving a ton of money by getting sub-par contractors in the first place. Really poor work. Paint on every light switch, mirror, towel hanger, bathroom light fixtures, every single door handle was loose at the screws. Missing blinds to the sliding door with several of them bent to the point of replacement. But they won't bother themselves with those types of details.
I could go on. There are so many negative things to write about here it just makes me seem obsessive. It's not the worst place on earth and the community in the surrounding area is nice. But how they can take pride in themselves when they offer apartments in this poor of a state is beyond me.
The pool is stunning though. They spend a lot of money on that and it it awesome. The gym is nice as well. Not huge, but adequate with a broken machine here and there. I'm sure they will fix that soon.
Knowing what I know now, I would look elsewhere if you can. If there is no other place, then it's alright if you can deal with not being cared about.
