My husband brought both new vehicles back to Honda West for the man to remove the alarm systems that we did not ask to have installed and that we were charged for. He was probably told to be very courteous to my husband, which he was, because putting alarms in all day into cars that the people did not request them in, and removing them can be a very monotonous job if the customer figures it out as we did. It appears to be the same system that we were charged quite a bit for now, as I had before he removed it, go figure? Seems there is no difference, I actually find it funny.
The General Manager, Mr. Bushey had my husband put his signature on the papers, yet that was no signatures from anybody there on any of the papers which I found rather odd since this has become a trust issue. Talk about one-sided. He told us that we would receive the refund in about 6 to 8 weeks, I wanted it in writing, can you blame me?
I received the package in 2 to 3 days containing the check for the refunds which I found rather odd but I guess they wanted me to remove the Yelp article about the practices that were done to us at Honda West. They knew that it was my money and yet they insisted on making the check out to my husband's name. Why not keep being annoying and obnoxious? Knowing it was my money, why was the check not written in my name that was taken from us, really me, why are they being so obnoxious, because we caught them?????
So as it stands now, Honda West tried to take money from me on four separate occasions, but luckily I read what they had my husband sign. If I didn't pick it up we would have been out a lot of money and I would never have been able to pay both new vehicles in full with the amount my mother left me upon her death. That is actually a disgusting thing to do especially since they knew about it.
The General Manager Mr. Bushey knew that I disliked my vehicle, especially the color, and since his Finance Manager tried to take that extra money from us if I didn't pick it up in the paperwork that night, I feel the right thing to make this whole thing right would have been if Mr. Bushey ate some crow, as I almost did, and swapped my ugly Burgundy Civic for the new White Pearl Civic that came out. I am sure the price difference would not have been that much and sometimes you have to make good when somebody tries to steal from a customer, or better yet, have his finance manager pay the difference to replace my Civic with a color more appealing since they were unable to deliver an Accord to me as I had planned on buying in the first place, the champagne color. They had none and we're too lazy to even call around to locate one with the features that I wanted and could afford.
At least the money situation is put to rest now, but a good businessman would have gotten me the white pearl Civic to replace the car that I am stuck with and hated from day one, and I did call him that week to have him ignore my call, or as I felt it might have been deleted.
Honda West has lost two customers that like to recommend places that they find to be exceptional, and since this incident did occur, we can no longer recommend Honda West to anyone that we know.
This has been a very big disappointment to us especially during the time I lost my mother who would have wanted me to have the car that I desired, but instead it was a nasty battle to receive the money back that the finance manager tried to take for his own commission and whoever else was in on it. Trust No One! I learned a lot from this adventure.
