It's a beautiful grocery store, in a really neat restored building, with a great selection of items given how small and odd the layout of the actual grocery store part is. The "Wow factor" is really in the rotunda area. You walk in to be surrounded by counters serving up pre-made foods, lunch meats, other meats, and bakery items and it's awesome! The second floor of the rotunda has a great beer and wine area, and they do tastings.
Found everything that I needed for my meal that evening and selected six different beers as part of the build your own six pack option. Pretty nice variety of IPAs and there were two or three that I had never tried - yum!
It was a fun shopping experience, but more expensive and more of a parking hassle than the local Dave's on my way home from work. Do I really need a rotunda in my grocery store and a million different deli options? The answer is no, but it's definitely a good option for for those who live downtown if their grocery list is small.
