Not only was eating at Costa di Mare one of the highlights of my Las Vegas trip, it was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. I was completely blown away by the outstanding service, the beautiful atmosphere, and the delicious food. This was the epitome of a 5-star experience.
Two of us were celebrating our birthdays the night we went to Costa di Mare. This was mentioned when we made the reservation and they went out of their way to give us one of the nicest tables in the house. The restaurant has extensive indoor dining but we were seated outside beside a beautiful koi pond. Our table had a tent covering and heat lamps for when the sun went down. Even though it was a pretty full house, the table felt very intimate.
Our waiter started by asking if we had any dietary requirements. When I mentioned I was vegetarian, he left and came back with a special vegan/vegetarian menu. I was completely blown away. Normally at restaurants like this I need to cobble a meal together with appetizers and sides. Here I had a full menu to choose from. I found out later that every restaurant at the Wynn and Encore hotels has separate vegan/vegetarian menus. Amazing!
The food and drinks are expensive ($20 cocktails omg) but definitely worth it. Since it was my birthday, I treated myself to an unreal gin cocktail before my meal. I ended up eating a delicious pastry topped with arugula, tomatoes, and vegan ricotta. Y'all, it literally melted in my mouth. This was food heaven! My friends were all blown away by their seafood dishes. Two of the girls ordered a meal for two where the servers cut and served their fish right at the table. Not my jam obviously but it was very cool to see.
Throughout the evening, the service was attentive and pleasant. The server offered helpful suggestions for wine pairings and made sure we were happy with our meals. The crowning moment was when they brought out two "happy birthday" desserts for the two of us celebrating birthdays. It was incredibly thoughtful and definitely made our night.
