  • My experience with Dr.Hurwitz was horrible. The staff was pleasant but not the Dr. When me and my finance walked into his office, he did not get up and greet us nor did he properly introduce himself. I did not feel our presence was welcomed. He just began asking me background information questions. It was apparent that he wasn't trying to get to know me. He was extremely sarcastic, like when he asked me what did I for a living and I explained to him that I help people in Crisis and where my work location was. He was like "Oh there is definitely a lot of crisis in that area." I was unsure what he meant by this, I took this as he was passing judgement on the population that resides in that area because that I said help people all over Allegheny County who are experiencing crisis's. What really put the nail in the coffin was at the end of consultation, we are proceeding out of his office when he turns to me and says don't have anymore children. I was extremely offended about this. 1. I have never birth any children, 2. He was judging me by the way my body looked. 3. What if I was a woman who was trying to have children but I had suffered miscarriages. I honestly felt he was trying to turn me off intentionally, I truly was surprised that this individual with such prestige was so insensitive and rude.
