| - I came for a few days with the boys to get away from NY and enjoy an awesome hockey game. My buddy set up the trip and picked this place. I've been to Vegas a few times and have stayed in kitschy spots and luxury ones as well. This place used to be a bit more kitschy with the ship battle, but they unfortunately don't do it anymore.
Anyway, the casino/hotel is a bit dated, but it's still nice. Check in took a little while and that was kind of annoying. I did get my room key though and was up on the 7th floor. My room was clean, a flat screen tv, king size bed, a day bed and a clean nice bathroom. All in all, I was very happy with the room especially since it was just me.
The casino was good, affordable games, high roller games, a nice casino bar, and all kinds of restaurants/bars and even a CVS drug store.
The places to stay away from, there is a sub shop, just gross, the meat was fatty, fries were cold. The sports book is super tiny and not what I'd expect from a real Vegas experience.
Overall I had a great time. The hotel is affordable, the casino is good. The staff is very friendly. I'd stay here again.
