  • I'm not a golfer. But I did visit Big Met last weekend for the first time - to snowshoe! They rent both snowshoes and cross country skis at the club house in the winter (I imagine only when there is enough snow, usually about 4"). Snow shoes are $8 for adults, and I think the skis are a little more. They also sell both hot and cold beverages (local beers!). I would without-a-doubt go back for more snowshoeing. If you want to rent skis though, you might want to call ahead. There was a wait for them when we were there.
