  • So I ate at Meat & Potatoes for the first time last weekend and honestly I was so disappointed. After reading all the great reviews I had high hopes for this place but I was not impressed at all. First off I love the decor and the atmosphere. They really did a great job with that. Also the service we had was great. Our waitress was the best. I would say she was probably one of the best waitresses I've ever had at a restaurant. I give her 5 stars. But unfortunately the food was just not that great. They have a great idea but just something was missing and not quite all there with each dish. Don't get me wrong the food isn't bad I just don't think it's worth going back for a second time. There's so many great restaurants in Pittsburgh I don't think I'll waste my time eating @ Meat & Potatoes again. I do have to give props to them for the dessert. We ordered the s'mores dessert which came out in a small cast iron dish that was warm, it was awesome! If you do decide to eat here definitely order the s'mores desert.
