Unethical practices!
I had an Italian leather jacket stolen from me and got a tip that it was here. Mind you this leather jacket was bought for me by my grandmother on a once in a lifetime trip to Italy.
I came here and pulled one of the employees off to the side as to not cause a fuss and told them I believe they had a stolen item of mine. I described the item and I asked if I could take a look around to see if I could find the leather jacket. I was then asked to leave the store and only return if I had a copy of a police report and a police officer present. I was shocked to say the least! I asked if I could please just look around and if I found the item they could hold it until I got back. The response I got was a manager escorting me out of the store! It took a few hours to get the report and a police officer but when I returned a few hours later with the report and an officer in tow I was told that it had been sold only an hour before my return! I was heartbroken! I told them the name of the girl who stole it and to not sell anything she gave them until I returned and they sold it! I believe they sold it as fast as they could to avoid losing their profit. They had no remorse and were very rude to me. I can't believe they got away with this but the officer told me I'm not the first and I won't be the last. I guess I was just innocent and naive to think that being upfront and honest with the staff about why I was there in the first place would get me anywhere with them.
In short, buffalo exchange doesn't care if they sell stolen goods. Pawn shops have more morals than this place! They are thieves and crooks! Disgusting!
