We dined at Rib & Reef last night. The restaurant's decor is elegant and the free valet parking is wonderful. The service is attentive and professional as befitting a restaurant of this calibre. The issue is with the foods itself. The junior rib was well cooked and seasoned but it just didn't deliver the "mouth-water factor" of Moishe's or Gibby's. My colleague's filet mignon was the same. I had a Monte Carlo potato as a side and I found that it was overly large and sloppy, with cheese overflowing on top. The potato was delivered to our table cold and when I returned it to be heated up, it was returned about 2 minutes later, only mildly warmer. This is an expensive restaurant and so, frankly, for that kind of money the meal should "wow" and not be simply mediocre. I'd recommend Moishe's or Gibby's over Rib & Reef any day.
