If I could rate this hospital a 0 I would and if you love your pets don't bring them here!
I took my 3yr old cat to Banfield because he had lost a lot of weight in a short amount of time and his appetite was gone. I assumed he was just stressed but when the doctor looked at him she knew it was serious. As the doctor was checking my cats vitals another employee came into the consult room and quoted me on an guess of him needing surgery without even being properly diagnosed. They told me that he needed a surgery and it would start at $2,500, as I sat there crying for my kitty the doctor said if couldn't pay that amount my other option would be humane euthanasia.
The doctor said that it would be a miracle if my kitty would survive.
I knew in my heart she was wrong.
I decided to take him elsewhere for a second opinion, The Bonanza Cat Hospital, the doctor there Dr. Steelman saved his life without surgery. They did blood work, X-rays , enema, and had him stay for over a week for 1/4 of the price of the suggested surgery that Banfield wanted. This was 3 months ago. He has since made a full recovery with the care of Dr. Steelman from Bonanza Cat Hospital.
It's unfortunate that Banfield cares more about draining your lifes savings than providing true healthcare for pets.Previous visits have been for Well checks and they have always been mediocre. Usually I have to wait for atleast 10 minutes to be checked it because receptionist aren't there. However, this last event has turned me away forever due to the lack of care and sympathy.
