| - I've gone to Barrio several times because it's close to my office, I've had one bad experience and several 'eh'....
Don't expect a warm and fuzzy greeting from the hostess. Normally she's not at the front and shows up when you're waiting for a bit... kinda like you're interrupting her.
At lunch time, there is plenty of seating and no wait...you'd think that the service would be super fast because of this, however, don't count on it. We've learned to tell the server that we have limited time and to put a rush on it.
I'm definitely not super excited about the food, however, I found that I enjoy the chicken sandwich with the bacon, jalapeno mayo and cheese with a side of asparagus... however, the last time I was there, it was off the menu.
I used to like the ahi tuna salad, but they changed the portion size and instead of getting nice strips of seared encrusted ahi, you get a dollop of chunks.
And... last week I learned that the complimentary chips and salsa is now a $4 appetizer.
Barrio does not have the greatest food or service, but it's convenient. That's all I can say really...
