| - I have to revise my review for Opendoor. While it was a bit difficult to get the process started, Mark and the team at Opendoor created a very transparent (and quick!) experience.
I had a relocation away from Phoenix and wanted to sell my home - quickly! I had around 4 weeks from date of offer acceptance to my anticipated first day in my new city. I had heard about Opendoor on the radio, and tried them out through their website. An automated offer was presented that was very fair with relation to market value, and comps and supporting details were provided to support the offer price. I was definitely interested, and although it took a bit of time to touch base with Mark to discuss (about a week from initial contact to first follow-up), but after touching base, he was incredibly responsive and demonstrated an interest in moving quickly with the transaction.
How quickly? From the point that we established personal contact to the point that the sale closed, we're talking less than 2 weeks. Throughout the process, Mark answered all questions and helped explain the process. For those of you wondering about "strings" or hidden fees - there were none. The offer presented (less some repairs for the property that were agreed upon by both sides) was what showed up on the itemized escrow statement at the transaction closing. No surprises.
These guys were able to move fast, transparently, and efficiently to purchase my home. The service may not be for everyone as the fees will be a bit higher than going through a traditional realtor, but if you're looking to get out of your home quickly, Opendoor is positioned well to serve that need.
