  • This place earned 1 star for the actual resort. The resort is fairly nice and the water park is awesome. However, I deducted 4 stars because my experience was the worst I've ever encountered at any hotel. First, it took them a little over 7 hours to get me checked into a room. About 5 hours of waiting I called the front desk for an update. They said, "oh sir we actually see that there is someone cleaning your room right now so it should be about 15 more minutes and we'll actually walk your room key over to you." Well, an hour goes by so I call again and they tell me these exact words, "oh sir we actually see that there is someone cleaning your room right now so it should be about 15 more minutes and we'll actually walk your room key over to you." Hmm that answer sounds familiar but okay I'll give them another 15 minutes. Another hour goes by so I decided to call the front desk again. Annnddd once again I get this response, "oh sir we actually see that there is someone cleaning your room right now so it should be about 15 more minutes..." I then hung up on them because I couldn't take it anymore. I finally got my room after demanding to speak to a manager which Is when they finally helped me. Second, our company credit card was on file to pay for the room and all meals billed to the room for the business trip that I was on. They assured me that putting my personal credit card on file would only be for incidentals. I confirmed with the front desk as well as the manager because I didn't have much faith in this place. They put a $190 authorization hold on my card which is typical of most hotels. Not a huge deal. When I checked out, the authorization was removed after 3 business days which I was happy about. Unfortunately, the next day they billed my card for the room and all meals which was already billed on the company card. Either they are trying to scam me and charge me double hoping I wouldn't notice or they just have no clue what they are doing. Either way, it's unacceptable and I do not recommend this place to anyone whether you're visiting for business or personal reasons.
