  • The Hyatt Place is a fantastic newly constructed design and sets the pace for Hyatt's relatively recent addition of a European style hotel. With Hyatt Place, Hyatt Hotels has returned to its tradition of providing spacious and well designed rooms, to a lobby, espresso bar, and breakfast area that makes the competition (Hilton Garden Inn, Doubletree, and Marriott) look meager by comparison. In fact, there is no comparison. The Hyatt Place in Madison is led by an attentive and very visible General Manager, Mark Niebauer, who I met while staying there for several days this week. And the staff is friendly and helpful. The fitness center and pool make for a nice complement. The hotel is just off the Capitol square. Five stars and a great value.
