I am a new member as a part of a large corporate membership program and I participated in a fitness evaluation on my second visit to the gym. At this time I was told I should try out a personal trainer with some free sessions for a month to see if I liked it and then I could choose to add it on to my membership. I saw a trainer 2 times and had asthma attacks at each visit, one of which I did not have my inhaler for. I told him that we were training too hard the first time and he neglected my needs, the second time was just as hard on my lungs. He scheduled my appointment for the next week, I went into the app and cancelled it. Personal training is not good for my asthma. Then my bank notified me 2 large withdrawals were made from my account. One I did not authorize from LA that was larger than my membership fee. So when I went to yoga, I went to the front desk and told her to cancel whatever they did to my account. I never signed up to pay any extra and I never received any contract to say I would be paying for that amount. I received a call from the salesman early on Saturday after I complained and he requested I contact him on his personal cell phone to discuss the issue and proceeded to be condescending about my issue and my goals and stated I was just "giving up on myself". I want my money refunded for all of the supposed "unused sessions" for a total of $179 (since technically I had two asthma filled sessions which cost $40 each) and for there to be some training put in place for your fitness assessment people because I did not agree to have anything automatically billed from my account. Thanks. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and will be continuing with these reviews in more places until my resolution is taken care of. All it should have been is the one desk conversation to take care of this, but the sales agent took this too far by denying my request and harassing me on a weekend when I have lost 100 pounds on my own without a fancy gym.
