| - My review is based on the 2018 Father's Day brunch.
Where do I start? This was THE most poorly, unorganized event i have EVER been to! We arrived shortly after 1pm the brunch ran from 12-3pm.
We walked into the building not knowing where to go, nobody to greet us, no signs telling us which direction to go to. Barely a hello from the ladies sitting at a table taking names of those who reserved. This was a pay in advance NON-REFUNDABLE brunch! After giving our names, we were not told where to go i.e.: where was the brunch set up. Very odd considering there was a wedding going on or soon to be while we were there. We arrived to the room and there was not 1 single table for us to sit at. We asked one of the servers if there was another room and her response was "you can go outside, there are tables & umbrellas there". Ummm, ok so that's a no for the banquet room? Lose the attitude lady if you can't handle service on Father's Day! I'll just to the problems from there because there were quite a few.
#1 - once we arrived it took over 20 minutes for them to find us a table. Then they proceeded to sit us with another group. Unacceptable! This was not mentioned at the time of reserving, confirming or once we arrived at the venue. There was an empty space on the other side of the divider in our room. Would it hurt to set up some tables? This brunch was all reservations in advance. Why were there not tables to accommodate each party? Families were split up on Father's Day! Come on are you kidding me?
#2 - 1:30pm with another 90 minutes to go 3-4 different trays were empty. Some took 30-60 minutes to fill up. At 1:30 i did not see even 1 out of the 4 salads advertised. BBQ?? Only sliders & chicken. Hot dogs were boiled, corn not grilled, frozen chicken tenders, did not even see any veggie kebobs. Where were the St. Louis style ribs? I kept checking for ribs for over 90 minutes and never saw any! We inquired and it was "5 more minutes" "10 minutes". Never even got to try any! Took 30 min to refill the tray of frozen fries.
#3 - No water, glasses, cutlery or serviettes on the tables. We had to ask the bartender for a pitcher of water. I got up to take one of my kids for more food and they cleared our drinks that weren't even finished. $3.00 for watered down ice tea! Beer was $9.00 a bottle!
The whole event was VERY poorly planned and was not worth $40 per person after taxes & gratuities. Horrible service when they already include gratuities because they could care less what you have & what you don't have.
The thing that upset me and angered me the most was, we asked 3 times to speak to the manager. They said the manager was away from the front, but would be out shortly. Nobody came to find us, talk to us - nothing! Had this been any other day, i would've walked out and demanded a refund (which FYI my husband did after we waited nearly 30 minutes for a table). The manager did not want to come out and talk to anyone because there were very MANY people that had spoken up about the poor quality food, lack of food and how horribly the event was planned. Too many other things to list.
Won't be seeing me there ever again!
