Industry Public House in Lawrenceville is a really cool spot. They tout themselves as a prohibition-themed spot, but I don't really get that vibe with a super modern bar setup. Regardless, they have an amazingly expansive alcohol selection, including some good wine options, which can be a challenge to find at "beer places." I find the TV screens with social beer info (I think it is an app) like glass type, keg level, etc. to be a really cool touch and helpful for people to really get a feel for what they are about to order.
I have tried a few foods and they have all been generous portions and super tasty. Bar food, but more upscale. However, I will say that the ahi tuna I had was so spicy I could barely eat it and no spice was indicated on the menu description, so I am curious if other dishes are not super accurately described.
Despite being very large with a larger than average bar, this place is usually packed. Granted, I've always ventured there on a weekend night, but even early on, it's crowded. My main issue with IPH and the reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the service/details. While some of the staff members are super helpful and great, more of them seem to have an attitude problem--the hostesses in particular. I'll never forget the time I came in after having shoulder surgery (I was in a huge sling with a pillow stabilizer) and the hostess wouldn't even entertain the idea of finding me and my boyfriend (so a two-top) a table away from the crowd so I wouldn't get bumped. I've also gotten an "eye roll" vibe from a lot of the bartenders. The restroom is nicely appointed, but typically in disarray without TP, soap etc. If IPH pays a little bit more attention to details like customer service, it could work its way up to 5 stars in my book!
