If you're looking for a good place to play a game or two of billiards or table tennis then this is the place to be! Even though it's located relatively close to the Toronto core, I can always manage to snag a table. This is most likely because the place blends very well with the other stores along Yonge that I still time to time miss the entrance.
Upon entry you're greeted by this distinct smell and you proceed to head down the flight of stairs to the main door where you must wait for a bartender to buzz you in (it's usually instantly). Just in case you're wondering, the escalator in the room prior never works so don't waste your time wondering.
Anyways, whats great about VIP is that it doubles up as a bar with delicious greasy pub fare. Anyone looking for a food challenge can attempt to take on the 24 patty burger. Eat it within a certain time frame and it's free (30 minutes I think). This place also offers great daily specials. Overall, this place should not be overlooked when looking for a place to drink and/or kill a couple hours with your buddies over a game of pool. This is most definitely a hidden gem in downtown Toronto.
