Fuel & Fuddle is a nice option for lunch or dinner in Oakland. They have a solid menu that ranges from specialty pizzas to a full out chicken dinner. Lots of craft beers to choose from as well.
Many menu items are cooked in a brick oven in the corner of the restaurant - from the pizzas to the crab cakes - so if you like that style this is your spot. For pizza I think it is great, for items like the crab cakes, meh, not so much.
Most meals are served with a mix of regular french fries and sweet potato fries. The prices are a little more than what you'd pay for a typical lunch (plan on about $12-$15 for a meal and a soda) but worth it.
It gets crowded FAST and there is limited seating and a small bar. Larger groups can sit in the basement which offers larger tables with bench seating.
Staff here are attentive and friendly.
