| - Since I don't live close by to Alfredo's Patisserie, I don't get to come as often as I'd like. I'm so glad that this small business seems to be doing well after my review from a year ago, and other people have discovered their delicious tamales too! I noticed the huge cinnamon rolls in the display case today, and I just had to see how it would stack up against Homie's. The true test of an exceptional cinnamon bun is how it tastes from the outside to the center, and omg, this roll was so soft and generously streaked with rich cinnamon all the way through! The vanilla glaze wasn't overly sweet either, and wow-oh-wow, I'll have to ask them if they'll ever make fruity versions, like with apple or raisins. I think the roll only cost about $2, but I can't remember exactly because I felt too giddy after plowing down and finishing it all myself in less than 5 minutes. ^_^ If the display case looks a little bare, it's probably because they haven't brought out everything in the back or they've already sold out of the popular items. Alfredo's patisserie is unique due to the fact that it offers brunch-type items, such as their homemade tamales and authentic croque monsieur or madame sandwiches in addition to the fabulous pastries and bakery stuff. I also bought an apple empanada, almond brittle cookie, and a pork tamale to eat later in the day. I regret now that I didn't buy one of their golden buttery croissants at the time, but I think I'll be back real soon for that and then some! ;) Customer service is very welcoming, and you may even get to meet and be served by Alfredo in person as well! :D
