  • When I have the day off and I wanna make a bet or chill at a sports book, this is where I end up. Pros- - 24 hours a day (1 of only 2 books in the city that are open 24 hrs, to the best of my knowledge) (the other being Gold Coast) - ticket writers have been friendly and helpful to me 95% of the time (there's always that 1 bad apple, I guess) -I love how they have sports and race sides completely separate and independent of each other. I'm honestly surprised more of the new books don't follow this plan. It keeps race bettors out of the way of the sports bettors and vice versa. - Plenty of food options nearby with Steak and Shake and the Del Mar Deli - Writers have been generous with the drink tickets, just slide them a few bucks when asking for them ;) works like a charm -Park in the south end of the parking lot for quick access, the book is actually located on the opposite end of the casino from the parking structure Cons- -can get kind of busy in there and lines can get long -lines aren't the greatest, but its close to where I live...so it's convenient.. I like this book a LOT more than the book at GVR (which is the next closest book to me)..and will continue to come back...it's solid and I definitely recommend it! 4 stars.
