| - So on a cold Easter Sunday, I decided to visit the Maple Syrup Festival at Bruce's Mill in Stouffville. I was considering ziplining and I already looked up all the information, particularly the cost to do it, and it was affordable, so I would definitely do it if I had time.
After my self-guided walking tour of the grounds, I walked into the little house at the end to see the modern method of making maple syrup and when that was done, it's the information desk of Treetop Trekking, with a special during Maple Syrup Festival no less! I knew I had to do it now.
The girl at the desk (forgot her name) was lovely, extremely friendly and helpful, she signed me up for the next zipline time and gave me more information about making it a group activity as I am considering it for my birthday. She also gave me waiver forms for me to fill out and offered to watch my bag when I'd be going on my zipline.
I returned at the time she told me to, where I met my zipline guide Matt who helped me put on my harness. He was friendly and patient, especially while we had our mandatory induction on how the ziplining would go, he even took a selfie with me before I jumped off the platform. There was a brief moment when I said I was ready, but I really wasn't, but Matt talked me out of self-doubt.
Definitely book ahead, because you wouldn't have to pay the park entrance fee if you do.
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here and really look forward to coming here again in the near future.
