I had made a reservation online so we were seated with no issues and no wait. Things had to flow smoothly. They have a lounge in the front with a full bar so that should come in handy when you're waiting to be seated or want a nice drink. I love the look and vibe of the Barrymore. I love that it feels like an amazing hidden gem.
Our server was Emily and she was so pleasant to have :) she even made a few recommendations on the menu which I always like. Their bread basket was scrumptious with some very interesting breads! Also, we were given vegetables with truffle sauce (complements of the chef).
The food:
* Lobster Mac & Cheese Appetizer!!!
THE HYPE OVER THIS IS REAL! It was absolutely delicious and easily shareable between two people! I wanted more (if only I had room)! I only wished that it had more lobster.
* Foie Gras
My friend ordered this because he's from California and it is banned over in his state so he was very excited to try it! He said it was delicious, and I had a bite of it. Fatty duck liver :p lol! Extremely interesting texture.
* New York Strip (14 oz)
This was definitely one of the juiciest steaks that I have had the pleasure of eating. It was cooked a little above medium rare, but as long as it's not medium then I'm happy. I paired it was bernaise sauce and my taste buds danced.
* Bone-In Rib Eye
His steak was absolutely juicy as well and I am surprised he finished it because it was a great portion!
* Sautéed Spinach Side
I would skip it because it wasn't anything special.
* Sweet Onion with Jalapeño Peppers
This sucker was absolute huge! I have never seen a bigger onion in my life. My friend liked his side but the onion conquered. It was just too big for him lol.
We were too stuffed for dessert, but were given two complementary mini macarons.
Overall, I would love to come back again!
