  • This is the third time we've used tix4tonight. This location is nice because it's inside the Coke bottle and thank goodness for air conditioning. I've purchased tickets to six shows and bought five discount coupons for dinner over the past three years. This review is an update over the review I did a year ago for the tix4tonight at the nearby Planet Hollywood location. We've seen Penn & Teller in the big showroom at the Rio and the Human Nature show in the small showroom at the Venetian. We went to the Rio the afternoon before and the Venetian show the day before as recommended to get the best tickets possible. In other words, we spent money on cabs or Uber for an extra trip to the venue just to pick up our tickets. We still ended up in the back of the balcony at the Rio. Because tix4tonight told us that our tickets were in the back row in the Venetian, we spent more money for better tickets, but that got us a whole five rows closer to the stage. We've also been to MJ Live, Hitzville, All Shook Up, and The Rat Pack is Back. MJ Live was in a smaller venue and we sat about 2/3 back from the stage. HItzville was at an even smaller venue and sitting in the back is no problem at all given the size of the venue. All Shook Up and The Rat Pack is Back are in such small venues, you don't really need to go there in advance and pick up your tickets and you don't really need to upgrade your seats unless you really want to get up close. Bottom line: the bigger the venue, the bigger the act, you'll spend money just to get to the venue just to pick up your tickets in advance and your seats will be in the back, and if you spend to upgrade with tix4tonight, you'll probably only move up a few rows. However, the smaller the venue, the less you'll spend because you won't need to make a special trip to get your tickets and even the back rows are good seats. The discounts for dinner can be a good deal. The problem is that you have to make your reservation at the time you buy your discount which limits your flexibility in some cases, and some restaurants have some special deals that you can't take advantage of because of the discount you've already purchased.
