| - I've been living here for about 1.5 years now and I've really enjoyed my experience. I'm in a two-bedroom and I love the layout. The bedrooms are a good size and are on opposite sides of the apartment so there are no problems with noise from your roommate. The bedroom closets are also huge, which is great. The living room is nice and spacious and there is plenty of additional room for a dining room table and/or desk(s).
The leasing staff is very friendly and they do a great job planning events and communicating with residents. I liked the staff in the office when I first moved in and was nervous when we got a new manager, but the new people are fantastic as well.
The location is great! You're just a couple of blocks from Harris Teeter if you need groceries, one block from the CVS Pharmacy, and there is a gas station, dry cleaner (Eden Cleaners) and convenience store nearby as well. If you want to go to a Charlotte Knights or Carolina Panthers game, both stadiums are within a mile. You're also very near 4th Ward Park which is a nice place to go for a run.
(Edit August 13, 2016: I have since moved, but before I did street parking around the complex became 4th Ward Resident Parking and you can get a pass from the city to park there. I never got a pass but I was able to park a block or two over when I had to park on the street. The next paragraph is out of date.)
I want to preface this next part by saying that this is an issue for which management has been actively working on a solution. The only complaint I have is one you'll hear from pretty much everyone, which is parking. There aren't enough parking spaces in the lot for all of the residents, so if you get home late one night you may find yourself having to park on the street. That would be no big deal except that the street can get filled up too if there is an event going on Uptown, in which case there is a paid lot in the back where you can park for $3 for the day.
All-in-all it's one of the best values in Uptown and I'm definitely happy I moved here.
