| - Not bad if you just need a basic room that's close-ish to the middle of the Strip. We found a deal that basically ended up being $173 per person ( 2 girls to a room, after hotel fees) for a 3 night stay. Not bad for about $57/night to have your own bed and decent bathroom. Our drain was a little slow, but nothing so bad that we needed to complain. In our other room however, the shower head produced a super intense water pressure that literally, physically hurt my friends. Luckily, all it took was one call to get hotel service up in the room to change out the shower head into an amazing, adjustable one.
House keeping was on-time and on top of it. No complaints there. Rooms were basic and clean. My only complaint is that the Expedia website says free high speed internet in each room, but as that turns out, it doesn't mean wifi. The plug they have for in-room high speed internet is so out of date, that it wouldn't fit into the outlet in my Sony Ultrabook. My roommate ended up going downstairs for wifi to use her iPad whenever she needed internet. Kinda lame for 2013.
There was a club downstairs called Brand, I believe. On Saturday, we came back around 1:30am from Surrender, and a Monte Carlo promoter stopped us and told us to check out Brand. He said it was $20 for "UNLIMITED" drinks all night. Kinda crazy how we paid no entrance fee for the bigger/ more happening clubs like Marquee and Surrender, but we figured well....unlimited drinks....what the heck? Why not? After we paid we were given TWO drink tickets. Lame. Misrepresentation at its best.
Still, the stay itself wasn't bad and you get one free buffet per person for every day you stay there. That's a perk if you're too hungover in the morning to go out or just need some food before you head out for the night. Would recommend for penny-pinchers looking for the basics. Would also recommend you avoid their "club/lounge" and be on notice about no wifi in the rooms/ no internet in the rooms if you have a newer laptop/device that won't fit an old school internet cable.
