| - After a long night shift at work, bf and I decided to try this place, with all the great reviews, how can you go wrong?! Looking at the menu for a bit, I decided on the Pork chop and eggs. This is where I went wrong, I was extremely disappointed. For starters, I'm super happy it came out so quickly, but at the same time, that tells me it was cooked ahead of time-huge turn off. So I get my breakfast and was immediately turned off, my "Iowa cut" pork chop was about 1/3 the size of an Iowa cut chop. (Yes, I do realize that I am in Arizona, but I expect to get what I'm told I'm getting!) Next thing that caught my attention was the green color! I about sent it back, not sure what the green paste on it was, but it didn't taste as bad as it looked. Ok, as you can tell, I was very irritated with the pork, but moving on. Potatoes had too much Rosemary, I figured home fries were simply home fries, they were a sad example. Half of them were stale, the other half were mush. Eggs were done as asked, very happy with that. The toast and homemade Jam were awesome, but again, the bread was a bit stale...
The only reason that I didn't give this place one star, was my bf plate. He had the waffle with bacon and a side of sausage, simply AMAZING! Really wished I had followed my intuition and ordered that too!
Staff was very friendly and alert, made you feel like a home town type feel, however, I felt bombarded. Every time he took a drink of his coffee, we put our fork down, or even took a look around, they were at our table. I felt rushed and didn't appreciate the feeling much, they weren't busy, and had plenty of open tables...
Will try again, but certainly won't go back for the pork chops!!
