Let me start by saying that the food was awesome.
Why not 5 stars then?
When you are paying $50 a plate. You don't really expect to be told that we are out of asparagus? Especially when Smith's is across the road.
Out of Brazilian sausage? You got to be kidding me. It is the part of the $50 plate. Why would you be out of it when you have it on the menu. Now if it was jack in the box, I would totally get it.
Furthermore, no manager came to ask us as to how we were doing? Or offer some compensation or apology for being out of the main menu dishes. Let me remind you, it was a party of 4 with drinks totaling more than $250 plus tip.
No effort was made to apologize for not having the menu items in stock. Now, if they were charging $20 a plate, they would have got 5 stars.
But for $50 a plate, I expect better service. I do understand that things go wrong, however, no effort was ever made to correct it.
We had no interactions with the manager whatsoever.
Shrimp was never served until begged for.
